Wondering how I know this? Well, to be honest with you, we all have a similar morning routine. And, let me tell you, that’s the only way we know to start our morning routines. By any chance, if you are not one like this, you have my salutes.

Having said that, you can change your daily morning routine and start your day in better ways. This is what I am going to write about in this article now. Speaking of best morning routines, there are plethora of ways to start a day. You can start with meditating, reading, small workouts et al. In this article, I am going to list out 7 best ways to start your morning routine.

Well, it is not possible for anyone to incorporate all the 7 routines mentioned in this article, but you can start one or two routines easily.

1. The Two-Minute Exercise

Of all the workout ideas in the morning as soon as you wake up, meditation is one of the best exercises to start the day. It increases your confidence and sense of ability. That said, let’s be honest for a moment and admit that no one has time or interest to meditate for long time.

Instead, start by doing some basic breathing exercises in Yoga/Pranayama when you wake up. Breathing exercises give you more comfort to start off the day.

2. Take a Shower

Take showers! Cold showers!! That’s right. Cold showers help you loses up your lousy mood right away. Is that too much to do for you? In that case, you can at least do a thorough scrubbing of your face in the sink with cold water. Doing this makes you feel fresh and more awake rather than just rolling out of bed and getting started with activities.

3. Create a Step-by-Step Schedule

We all plans and schedules. I am sure you too have a certain daily and every day goals to start. When you wake up, list out the things in a pen. By doing this, you will have an estimation on the things that can be done later in the day. Be more realistic while noting down the points and include time-frame for mandatory activities like eating breakfast, getting dressed, and showering. Importantly, stick to whatever you not down in your morning schedule.

Back in the days, my day used to start with reading the newspaper. I am a grown man now and I don’t really get time to read newspapers like I used but I still have that curiosity to know what’s happening around the world. But my time doesn’t allow me to do that. Thankfully, I have many mobile applications now to give fast news updates. However, I try to finish news reading on apps as soon as possible. I don’t want to scroll from news apps to other unnecessary apps wasting my time.

6. Exercise for 10 Minutes

Exercise for 10 minutes. The best way is to start off with small warm up exercises and small jogging to break the ice of laziness and move on to stretching your body. By exercises, I mean not to lift weights but rather do a five rounds of push-ups and walk around the house. That is enough to start the day

7. Set Your Clocks Five Minutes Ahead

Set your alarm clocks five minutes ahead. Sounds easy? I know, I know, you hate it whenever it rings. But, this activity tricks your brain into understanding that you are already late and helps you speed up the things and the result? You will be on time for the rest of the activities of the day.
