Hello Guys,

This is Aishleen Verma, and in today’s article, I’m going to go over these surprising food items that are killing your metabolism. Well, let’s just name these food items and call them Metabolism Massacre Foods.

So, before just pointing out the food items let me tell you little about these Metabolism Massacre foods. These are foods that cause inflammation, digestive issues, hormonal imbalance, and shut down your body fat burning potential. These foods act toxins on your body and put your body in fight or flight state. Even if you guys are exercising more and eating less but these metabolism massacre food are part of your daily diet you may never achieve the body of your dreams.

So let’s rev up your metabolism and turn your body into the fat burning machine. Most of these Metabolism Massacre foods are actually labelled as Health foods, in fact, they are shutting down our metabolism.

WHOLE GRAINS

I’m sure you guys are shocked reading this.

The problem with whole grain and the first one is that these are empty calories. Another thing is that whole grain has two substances in it, and that is:

  • Phytic Acid
  • Gluten

Phytic Acid is actually anti-nutrient that actually blocks your body from absorbing certain minerals and Gluten is being proved to time to time that it slows down your metabolism, cause digestive issues, thyroid problems and actually can fuck up your metabolism.

Now don’t be so sad that you can’t have a sandwich or a cookie or something. There is an alternative to this.

You can use sprouted grains or coconut flour.

PEANUT BUTTER

Again Shock, I’m sure.

Well most of us have this in our kitchen, and some even have this in their office drawer too. But, it is the Metabolism Massacre Food.

Peanut Butter is something that tastes great, but it is actually death to your gut. It is linked to food allergies, hormonal issues and of-course slowing down your metabolism. Peanut Butter has the fungus called AflaToxin which can kill off good bacteria,  known as pro-bio-tics, in your gut which in turn can affect your metabolism.

Now a simple alternative to this is Almond Butter. Now, one may ask why Almond Butter is so better than peanut butter, and the reason is, Almond Butter contains an amino acid called L-arginine, and L-arginine increases growth hormone which helps you put on lean muscle. Just a TBSP or more can fire up your metabolism.

CANOLA OIL

Boom! Shock again.

A lot of people shift to canola oil thinking that it is healthy.

The type of oil you consume is so essential when it comes to losing that last 5 kg. The problem with Canola oil is that it is partially hydrogenated oil which means it can cause inflammation throughout your body.

And now wait for the even more surprising alternative.

BUTTER! Yes, you heard it right. But not just any butter, Grass-Fed Butter or also called pasture butter. Butter actually helps burn out your belly fat and here is how. Butter contains a fatty acid called as CLA. And this fatty acid has been proven in 35 studies that it helps to burn out the belly fat.
